Spring recital is a fully staged concert held at the MHS Auditorium in Coos Bay scheduled for Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 2 pm.

Participation in the annual recital is not mandatory, but if you choose to participate there are fees required.  Costume fees and rehearsal fees must be paid by December 10, 2011 in order to perform in recital.  The costumes purchased are for students to keep.


Ticket Prices & Information
The Spring Concert is our biggest fundraising event of the year so no comps are available.  Ticket prices are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. 

The  auditorium lobby will have a flower concession, recital programs, information about the school, summer schedules, picture schedule and order forms, recital DVD sign-up, etc. during recital weekend.


Dress Rehearsals
Students participating in recital must be in all dress/tech rehearsals scheduled for their performance(s). No exceptions. 2012 dress rehearsal day is Saturday morning, June 2, beginning at 9 am at the auditorium. More specific rehearsal times for each class will be posted at the dance school prior to the rehearsal days.


Costume Fees
Costume fees are due by December 10, 2011 and will be priced according to size with XL sizes costing a bit more. 
Prices are:
     • S/M/L Child price $55; XL Child price $65
     • S/M/L Adult price $65;
     • XL Adult price $75
Costume Fees are non-refundable and must be paid before costumes are ordered. The costumes purchased are for students to keep. 


Chaperones
Preparatory level students and some beginning level students sit in the balcony until their performance time.  When the performance is finished they will be escorted back to their seats to watch the remainder of the show.  Parents can pick them up at the balcony stairs at the completion of the show. The program runs without intermissions.  No student is allowed to leave until the program is completed.  This is part of the training we provide to students and parents for acceptable audience behavior, as well as... NO CELL PHONES, VIDEOTAPING AND/OR PHOTOGRAPHY OF ANY KIND ALLOWED DURING PERFORMANCES.  Simply good manners.
