ELKA SKY: (Preparatory, Jazz)

Trained in international folk dance, ethnic dance, yoga, ballet, modern, jazz, movement therapy; Co-founder, The New Dance Company, Special Steps Performance Group, Puffin-Troubadours; Instructor, Pacific Dance Spectrum 1991-1995; PSD Instructor since 1995.

MARY SCHROEDER: (Tap, Jazz)

Trained in Los Angeles at Dupree Dance Academy, Academy West, and Dance Center West; Worked in Cabaret shows as a dancer (soloist and line captain) in Japan, Italy and Nevada; Performer and choreographer for Dance Without Walls; choreographer, Dance Umbrella Rep. Company; choreographer and dancer for Coos County theater and dance groups since the 1980's; PSD Instructor since 2003.

CHRISTINE RADER: (Ballet, Pointe)

Completed her early training with William F. Christensen, Pacific Northwest Ballet School and University of Utah; BA in Fine Arts, University of Utah; Performed with Utah Regional Ballet, Utah Opera and Ballet West repertory productions where she danced roles in Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Coppelia, Aida, Western Symphony, Les Sylphides and The Nutcracker; PSD instructor since 2004.

MARIA ROSMAN: (Modern, Jazz, Ballet, Prepatory)

Early training in Washington State, then Pacific School of Dance, Lane Community College, Pacific Dance Spectrum, and Comish College of the Arts, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts in Dance; Studied with Pat Grainey, Wade Madson, Shane Szabo; Performed with Christina Dillard's Big Red Dance Company; Performed as a primary dancer and actress with the Bleeding Hearts Theater Ensemble as well as other smaller groups in the Seattle area; Choreographer, Bleeding Hearts Ensemble, Dance Umbrella Rep. Company; Dance instructor in Seattle area, both group and private lessons; PSD instructor since 2007.

MARCIE LAKEY: (Jazz, Preparatory)

Trained with Dance Unlimited of Oregon (DUO), Roseburg, OR and Pacific Dance Spectrum, Coos Bay, OR. Owner/Dance Instructor/Choreographer Marcie's "Dance for You" studio in Woodland, CA; Dance instructor Pacific Dance Spectrum (Including outreach in North Bend, Myrtle Point and Cocquille); Woodland, California Parks and Recreation; In Shape City, Denair Elementary and Middle School. AFAA Certified Fitness Instructor, Cross Court Athletic Club, Woodland, CA. Performed with Extraordinary Students of America in New York and Europe performing group; Tremain Dance Competition in Las Vegas. PSD Instructor since 2008.

KATHY MORIN:

Trained San Jose Community College, San Jose State University, San Francisco State University, Margie Speck Dance Center; BA in Fine and Applied Arts, Minor in Dance, U of O; Master of Arts and Teaching from Western Oregon University; Co-Director, Dance Without Walls, Director of Waves; performed with Dance Spectrum Northwest; Choreographer, Dance Umbrella Rep. Company instructor; Pacific Dance Spectrum 1989-1995; modem dance teacher, North Bend High School since 2004; PSD instructor since 1995.

JOAN SANDERS-SElDEL:

Trained with Nicholas Vasileieff, Portland, OR; Ballet Theatre School and School of American Ballet, NYC. Soloist, American Festival Ballet, Nederland Dans Theatre; Co-founder, Sanders Ballet academy, The Hague; Ballet faculty 23 years, North Carolina School of the Arts; Master Program instructor, Pacific Dance Spectrum, 1991-1995; PSD instructor since 1995.

KATHRYN SHANE:

Trained at the Erie School of Ballet, Erie, PA; Clay Ballet School, Verhill, MA; Boston Ballet. Performed with Erie Ballet Company. Instructor, Bandon Dance Club 1996; Southwestern Oregon CC, 2001-2004. PSD Instructor since 1996

MARY PAULA:

Trained extensively with Gladys Kenny Hodgson of the Chicago Opera Ballet, is a product of the San Francisco Ballet School under the direction of Harold Christensen and is a charter member of the Marin Ballet Company (Leona Norman, Director) and Bay Area Ballet Company (currently titled Lines).

Dominated the ballet scene from 1958 - 1982 as founder and director of the Petaluma School of Ballet, producing the
annual Nutcracker Ballet with guest artists from San Francisco Ballet, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Wizard of Oz., and established the Petaluma City Ballet. Many of her former students have gone on to professional careers in the dance world. Selling the school in 1982, Mrs. Paula has taught in numerous ballet schools bringing her choreographic skills, enthusiasm and precise technical information to multiple levels of students.

Moving to Oregon in 1997, Mrs. Paula has continued to teach, coach and offers private and semi-private classes for the serious students of ballet.
